Autochromes from Tábor region

10th exhibition of Šechtl and Voseček Museum of Photography in Tábor on-line.

Tábor, Kotnov Castle

Autochrome,

The author of these photographs from Tábor is not identified. By their style, they are unlikely to have been made in the Šechtl & Voseček Studios, and look more like the work of an amateur photographer, among whom, Autochrome was quite popular. It is however also possible that they are Autochromes by Jindřich Husník, son of inventor and teacher at Tabor Gymnasium Jakub Husník, who lived in Tábor, and is known to have been using this process. His Autochromes however have been completely lost.
