Description:
Next to the municipal hospital, which cared for sick and poor residents, the Chapel of St Elizabeth was founded on Špitálské Square in 1690 and built in Baroque style in 1718. Today it serves as the Orthodox Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. Remains of a burial ground, whose beginnings can be dated to the 15th century, were discovered on the site of the adjoining square.
