Další tradiční táborští řemeslníci byli soukeníci. Soukenické rámy se většinou nacházely v zahradách a v odlehlejších místech. Důmyslná konstrukce sloužila nejen k sušení sukna z valchy, ale i k jeho natahování. Císař Leopold I. schválil (3.11.1660) „Aertikule táborských soukeníků“ (což mělo význam pro rozvoj řemesel u nás; např. je zde ustanovení o učních).
