Description:: Forester Karel Muck came from Citov near Mělník and came to Černovice on the estate with Count Veit. In 1906 he retired from Stará Huť, where he had spent 32 years, and moved to Černovice. His new house opposite the new railway station was designed by his son, Ing. Ferdinand Marek Muck of Kutná Hora. Karel senior had a wife Marie, an unmarried daughter Marie and four sons; he died in 1923 at the age of 85. His son Karel was a forester; his son Zdeněk was in Russia and had a brewery there. In 1917, after the revolution, he sent his wife and children home to Slovakia and himself disappeared, apparently dying. After 1948, the house was inherited by Ferdinand's daughter, and when her daughter married MUDr. Mařík (a railway doctor) and moved to Čerčany, she sold the house. Jiří Turek J
I am his great-great-great-granddaughter. The wife of one of his sons, Aloisie Mucková, was my great-grandmother; she died in 1960, when I was three years old, but I remember her. Her daughter Marie Maříková was my grandmother; she died in 1978. Mrs Marie Maříková's son, Ing. Vladimír Mařík, lives in Sezimovo Ústí. Thank you for this beautiful memory of my ancestor. A bronze plaque made from this photograph is placed on the family grave in Černovice, where all his descendants rest and where every All Souls' Day we meet with the living descendants.
