The picturesque house atop the rocky slope down from Čelkovická Street overlooked the hillside below Kotnov, where what is a residential area today had not yet been developed. The roof with chimneys down by the river belongs to a house called Fišlovka. The former tannery, later a leather factory, was built by the Jewish entrepreneur Emil Fischel. The factory was closed down before the Second World War, and since then has served as a workers’ dormitory as well as social housing. (published in: calendar Tábor, Šechtl & Voseček, 2024)
