Dating: between 1905 and 1917 (the large building on the left is the school built in 1905; the prominent ‘column’ to the right of center is the castle Hláska tower, demolished in 1917).
View from the village of Stranná, or more precisely from the former Proboštiny farmstead, situated on the hill north of Žirovnice, away from the road to Stranou; it is visible in the right-hand part of the photograph.

This photograph must date from before 1917, because in 1917 the tower called Hláska was demolished. Sometime around 1914 the wooden superstructure on this tower was removed. Thus the photograph dates from 1914–1917.
