Description:: These photographs can be dated at least approximately from the following information:

1. The castle acquired this appearance in 1873–1875.

2. The same appearance of the castle, including the flag on the tower, occurs on a precisely dated postcard from 1913, issued for the Great Imperial Manoeuvres.

There are only slight differences between the photographs:
a) On the postcard the flag on the tower has no emblem, although this may be due to perspective or size. Especially because the emblem is absent in the same photographs before colourisation.
b) The vegetation in both images appears to be the same, at most with a difference of 1–2 years.

4. The ivy climbing the wings of the castle building could not have been planted before the reconstruction, and its growth would correspond to an age of around 5 years.
This photograph therefore dates from 1880–1913; this probably also applies to the following two photographs with consecutive plate numbers. Petr Fiedor
