The tower of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord on Mount Tábor was damaged in 1621 during the siege by imperial troops, and during the Thirty Years' War the tower cupola was further damaged by the Swedes. In 1677 it was replaced by a three-tiered Baroque cupola designed by the Italian builder Giovanni de Capauli. The photograph shows repairs to the cupola in 1927.
