Description:: I already knew this hall as derelict in 1969, when, by agreement with the owners, we held a camp on their property.

The entire derelict spa complex – i.e. the residential house with a large kitchen, this adjoining salon, the opposite annexe with several rooms, and across the road in the garden a villa for guest accommodation including a tennis court –

was then owned by two sisters – Mrs Hrabánková and the Říha family. As twelve-year-old girls, we were fascinated by this place; there were remains of the original furnishings in the buildings, and our imaginations could work on what it probably once looked like here.

Our Scout troop held a camp here again in 1970. As far as I know, the family later sold the complex to Mototechna Ústí nad Labem as a recreation centre, and I think they also moved to Ústí.

I visited Saint Anne after the revolution, approximately 20 years ago; the buildings had been repaired and were being used as a guesthouse, which pleased me, but the staff no longer had any idea about the original owners or the interesting history.
