Description:
The villa in Kocourovy Lhotky was built in 1888–1889 in the so-called Heimatstil. Its owners were the wealthy family of Ignác Falta, director of the Martinice estate. After many family tragedies, the Falta family sold the farm in 1911 to the Tošer family from the nearby village of Zachotín. The villa stands in the isolated locality of Kocourovy Lhotky and was inhabited until 1967. The farm had a sad fate. After the communist coup, the farmer's family was expelled and the local collective farm “farmed” the property. After the revolution, the farm and its fields were returned to the original owner. He sold the farm in 2000, and the new owner is gradually reconstructing both the farm and the villa. We thank Mrs Vítkovičová for identifying the photograph and providing the description.
