START OF STEAM-POWERED OPERATIONS AT THE BREWERY IN TÁBOR, 1892. From 1612 until the end of 1980, beer was brewed at Kotnov, on the grounds of the former castle. The medieval buildings were originally also used, but as the brewery gradually expanded they were replaced in the late 19th and early 20th centuries by new extensive cellars and halls.
