Pražská ulice (Prague Street) / In the mid-1980s, sculptors Jan and Václav Dušek created a series of house signs for the centre of Tábor. Most of them, including the peacock on the Orient shop shown in this photograph, were removed by the new owners in the post-revolutionary years. Nowadays, you can see only the dove on Pražská ulice (Pražská Street), made for the folk craft shop, and the angel above the entrance to the chemist’s U Anděla strážce (At the Guardian Angel).
