Josef Jindřich Šechtl: Clover seed being direct drilled into pasture, 1913 – 1915

The clover seed is so small that only a very small box is needed to hold it. The clover germinates in the cover of the grass, and then in its second year, it provides feed for animals, as well as fixing Nitrogen from the soil, to help raise the fertility of the soil.
