First World War, 1915. At this time there was not enough work to go round so here people are repairing the pavements. No one is in a hurry though. Maybe it is Sunday? Or perhaps this construction site scene was not meant to be seen by the foreman?
Photograph from 1915, when town officials ordered new pavements be made on Křižík Square and Budějovicka Street. On the photograph you can see Frantisek Křižík’s electric lamp and on the left the town scales.
