Mikuláše z Husi Square, before 1890. The people in the photograph knew nothing of cars, mobile phones or internet dating. And yet they still managed to get food, have children, and find time to pose for the photographer.

Mikuláše z Husi Square, without parked cars, road signs, rubbish bins, lampposts, advertisements, decorative flower pots, pavements or benches. The fountain and lime trees sufficed to make the area feel comfortable in summer.
