A dusting of snow covers the slopes above the river, just as a housekeeper might sprinkle a cake generously with sugar for a dear guest. It was a scene the photographer did not want to miss and he aimed his camera from a floor of the house with the old bastion in Ústecká Street. In the distance, where a chimney is smouldering, there is a brand new brewery building. Today this is Hotel Dvořák, and the building still looks as good as new, only in place of beer kegs there are guests staying who haven't the foggiest about Tábor beer.
