Name:
Hospital, Dr. Pavlík
Description:
Hospital, Dr. Pavlík. Briefly, a few details about the hospital. Until 1906 the chief physician was Dr. Jehlička. Dr. Jehlička was at the hospital until 11 a.m.; in the afternoon Dr. Pavlík came in. There used to be 5 nuns there. Dr. Pavlík was the municipal physician, physician to the district sickness insurance fund, and railway physician. After Dr. Jehlička's death, Dr. Pavlík was chosen as chief physician, on condition that he give up his other functions. In 1906 Dr. Pavlík brought in Dr. Rychetník, physician at the Tábor tobacco factory, to help. Because Dr. Pavlík refused to give up his secondary functions, Dr. Daniel was chosen as chief physician. Dr. Pavlík left the hospital on 20 November 1907. During the World War in 1914–1917 the hospital was run by Dr. Rychetník. Dr. Daniel was in the army. After 1906 the number of religious sisters was increased to 7. From these details it is clear that the two photographs shown are from 1906–1907. They show Dr. Pavlík, Dr. Rychetník and 7 religious sisters /I also know their names/. Regards, Mojmír Pěnka
