Description:: In the photograph, I recognize my grandmother Barbora Krsová – Buřičová. She is standing to the left of Mrs Benešová. I also recognize Miss Mařenka – the cook, Miss Vilma – the chambermaid, Miss Jiřinka and Mrs Kodlová /I do not know whether the name is written correctly/ – Mrs Benešová's secretaries, Mr Kotýnek with his wife, who liked to paint – the driver, and Mr Sezima with his wife – the gardener.

My grandmother served Mrs Benešová /the gracious lady – she never called her anything else/ from about 1931 until about 1960 and was very proud of this work. My grandfather, however, died there tragically in 1946, and my grandmother then married Grandpa Buřič. She died in 1973. My father was a great friend of Mr Vlček – Mrs Benešová's nephew. They went on skiing trips together and by boat on the Lužnice. He also remembered very fondly the time spent at the villa. Hana Bulínová – Krsová.
