Ignác Šechtl and Josef Jindřich Šechtl: October: House No. 626, 9th May Street

The oil lantern in the picture indicates that photographer put his camera in front of the house on the corner of Havlíček Street and 9th May Street before 1903. This was at the time when the block development of the New Town of Tábor was underway, whose buildings had façades decorated with elements inspired by historical architecture. Compared with houses built or rebuilt in the 1930s in the austere garb of modern architecture, this one preserves some of this original decorated appearance. Today you can find a patisserie there.
