The white surface of the path along the nearby river Lužnice would soon be covered by the tracks made by tourists and hikers, who often took this popular route. Probably watching from the windows of the Riviera would have been Mr. Kulička, ready to invite people to his restaurant and patisserie, before the idyllic days of the First Czechoslovak Republic were to be over, destroyed by the Second World War and then… Well, then things were not much better.
