Ignác Šechtl and Josef Jindřich Šechtl: November

The Lužnice flows below Tábor, of trees there are not many, moreover without leaves, thus giving the impression of transparent brooms. Thanks to this we can see much of the development on the hillsides of Tábor, but not all of what we are used to seeing today. At the time of this image only dreamers could imagine the road that led only as far as Kotnov Castle might continue toward Bechyně, and how Kotnov would be so changed after its renovation. But they did not need to imagine the snow-white synagogue near Kotnov. This alas we have to do.
