Josef Jindřich Šechtl

Gallery: Photographs celebrating the centennial of the first Czechoslovak Republic, calendar for year 2018

In the 1930s the Tábor authorities addressed the problem of the town’s scarcity of drinking water by building the Knight Waterworks to treat water from the Jordán. Construction of the waterworks and the baffle curtain reservoir was completed on February 15, 1936. The designer and builder of the waterworks was the Prague engineer Čeněk Pštross.
