In the times before Švehlův
bridge spanned the Lužnice, inhabitants of Tábor, Horky, Větrov and
other nearby villages used to cross the river by ferry, when it was
not frozen over. The location of the ferry stops changed over time.
It normally crossed somewhere between Čelkovice Spa and Hoffmann
Villa.
