At the unveiling of the Josef Holeček monument Prof. Karel Kostlivý spoke the following words: “The appreciation of Holeček’s work and ideas on the nation and on Slavic culture represents a recognition of how the national idea is not just aslogan, but a power hidden in the breast of each and everyone. It is only necessary for this power to be awakened for the people and the Slavs to be brought to the path of pure national consciousness, which can only then lead to humanity, as Holeček himself proclaims.” (Holeček Park.)
