The foundation stone for the base of the monument, produced by Šimůnek and Neuman, was prepared for tapping by plumber Leopold Pammer and the Kareš Stonemasonary Company. The stone was ceremonially tapped into place by Prof. Karel Kostlivý, the family of Dr. Pavlík, monument sculptor František Bílek, and others. (Hus Square.)
