Gallery: Photographs celebrating the centennial of the first Czechoslovak Republic, calendar for year 2018

The local population marched on a spontaneous demonstration on October 29, 1918. The procession came out of Main Square (now Žižka Square) and stopped at Rieger Square (now Křižík Square) near the picture of T. G. Masaryk. From there the procession returned to Main Square, where Prof. Karel Kostlivý gave a speech about the events of October 28, 1918 (Czechoslovak independence had been declared that day in Prague).
