Karel Boromejský, Cardinal Kašpar (May 16, 1870 – April 21, 1941) was prelate of the Czech Roman Catholic Church. He served as Archbishop of Prague from 1931 until his death, and was elevated to cardinal in 1935. He made a private visit to Pelhřimov on September 4th 1934, during which, he met Dean F. B. Vaněk, and together they visited the newly-renovated dean’s garden, regarded even today as the most beautiful garden in the town.
