Ignác Šechtl and Josef Jindřich Šechtl: June

When Ignác Šechtl put his camera on a road leading to Horky (and when we say “when” we mean a relatively long “when” because, according to the technical parameters of the image, this picture was taken during the period from 1880 to the first years of the twentieth century), it was clear to him that something in the nearby meadow was missing. We now know what should have been there – Hýlačka lookout tower. Šechtl coped with its absence by following the procedure advised in such circumstances: he had some random figures pose there.
